For Non-Verbal Twins, Running NYC Marathon is Therapy

The 43rd annual New York City Marathon was the biggest in the event’s history. Amid the huge crowd of more than 50,000, two runners stood out.  For 23-year-old identical twins Alex and Jamie Schneider, running is much more than exercise or a competition. The Schneider twins have autism and are non-verbal. Their parents say that running brings the twins joy and has become an “unspoken language” for them.
