NANTUCKET, MASS. (August 15, 2014) -- Hundreds of people from across the island descended upon Don Allen Ford for "Cruise Night for Autism Speaks" to kick off the Walk Now for Autism Speaks Nantucket Walk weekend.
Kids played in a bounce house while the adults feasted on delicious summer barbecue and checked out the cars - from new to classic. The Autism Speaks Fedex NASCAR car #11 from Joe Gibbs Racing was by far the most popular car.
Steve Tuna and the Offshore Blues Band entertained the crowd and Autism Speaks President Liz Feld introduced Co-Founder Bob Wright who spoke about the important work the organization is doing in Massachussetts and around the country.
It is the fourth year, Don Allen owners Bill Tornovish and Erik Evens organized the event. All proceeds benefit Autism Speaks.
