The Aspen Times featured Autism Speaks’ fourth annual Light It Up Blue Aspen event, in partnership with Extreme Sports Camp/Ascendigo. The event is a fundraiser that will be held at the Hotel Jerome on Feb. 15 at 6:30 p.m.
The Hotel Jerome, where the event will take place will be lit up blue. During Autism Awareness Month in April, Autism Speaks celebrates Light It Up Blue! The campaign aims to light landmarks around the world blue, the color representing autism awareness.
Special guests include Olympic Gold Medalist Jonny Moseley and Dr. Jennifer Berman of the TV show, "The Doctors."
All proceeds benefit programs focused on raising awareness for autism and fulfilling the needs of the autism community to ensure that youth and adults with autism live empowered and fulfilling lives.
The Extreme Sports Camp/Ascendigo is in its 11th year. The organization offers an eight-week programs for kids and adults with autism that includes outdoor sports like rafting, horseback riding, rock climbing and more.
