The Journal of the American Medical Association Covers New AAP Recommendations

An article in the December 12 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association covers the recent clinical reports from the American Association of Pediatrics (AAP), including the new recommendation that all children be screened for autism spectrum disorders at 18 months and 24 months. Bob Wright, co-founder of Autism Speaks, and Andy Shih, vice president for scientific affairs, are both quoted in the article. Wright discusses the Autism Video Glossary, and Shih stresses the importance of early diagnosis and intervention.
