Grandma Says Emergency Responders Responsible for Saving Grandson's Life

May 01, 2014

(May 1, 2014) - Last Saturday in Manistee, Michigan, Janet Krause got a call that is every parent or grandparent's worst nightmare: her grandson Owen had run off from the company of his caregiver and fallen into a nearby river. The strong current swept Owen down the river. Luckily within minutes, emergency responders arrived and pulled him out. Owen was airlifted to a hospital and put on life support. Just two days later, however, Owen was able to breathe on his own.

“I want to thank them (emergency responders),” Krause said. “I’m just so thankful that they were right there.
