The Rye Daily Voice profiled Susan Murray for her family’s amazing philanthropy. Susan and her husband Kevin, an Autism Speaks Board Member, created a celebrity golf event that attracts celebrities and raises funds for autism research, awareness, and advocacy and family services.
Susan and Kevin were inspired to start the event when their son Owen was diagnosed with autism at 18 months. Since then, the Murrays have raised nearly $14 million for the cause. This year’s 16th annual Autism Speaks Celebrity Golf Challenge will take place at the famed Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y. on June 16. There is still time to register.
