CBS Sports shed light on the special meaning of Coaches Powering Forward for Autism for two college basketball coaches.
Coaches Pat Skerry and Tom Herrion used their recruitment skills to rally the nation's top college hoops coaches around raising awareness about autism spectrum disorder. They aim to build awareness and acceptance and advocate for families and individuals affected by autism.
More than 250 coaches have already signed up to participate in the campaign, culminating February 19 to 21. Throughout the weekend, coaches, officials and broadcasters will raise autism awareness by donning the blue Autism Speaks puzzle piece pin during college basketball games.
Share your photos of your coaches wearing the pin and your friends and family supporting the cause by tagging your Tweets and Facebook posts with #AutismHoops! Find out more info at autismspeaks.org/coaches.
