The family of Brian Gewirtz held a press conference on the 32nd day of his disappearance. Brian Gewirtz, a 20-year-old man with autism and diabetes, has been missing since Feb. 17. He was last seen at his Brooklyn, New York home. His family is desperate for any information the community can provide to find him. His family has also created a Facebook page where news can be shared. Anyone with information is encouraged to call 911 immediately and take a photo of Brian for confirmation. The family has also set up a gofundme.com page to support the search.
Gewirtz' disappearance has drawn comparisons to Avonte Oquendo's tragic wandering case in 2013. Avonte's half-brother Danny Oquendo stood by the side of Brian Gewirtz's mother, Kathleen Lunz-Gewirtz, and announced that he has joined search efforts. Watch the full press conference in the video above.
