On Tues. September 9, the Boston Red Sox and Fenway Park hosted an Autism Awareness night. A group of top fundraisers and Walk committee members participated in an on-field, pre-game ceremony during which a $5,000 check was presented to Autism Speaks. Melody Horgan also presented players Wakefield and Cora with gifts to thank them for their participation in PSAs for the Greater Boston Walk.

During the game, facts about autism were displayed on the big screen at Fenway Park. The Red Sox have supported the Walksince its inception eight years ago and Tim Wakefield has been its spokesperson the last three years. This year Alex Cora has joined, as well.

The New England Chapter Office would like to thank the Boston Red Sox for their continued support and dedication to the organization and its mission.
