Autism Speaks to Young Professionals DC Hosts 3rd Illuminate Event

April 18, 2015

The 3rd Annual Illuminate DC event hosted by Autism Speaks to Young Professionals DC (AS2YPDC) took place on the stunning rooftop bar and lounge of the Graham Hotel in Georgetown. The event attracted close to 200 attendees and raised approximately $26,000 to date, the most funds raised for an Illuminate event in the chapter’s history. All funds raised help support the organization’s mission to change the future for all who struggle with autism in the local area.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a festive reception of food and signature beverages with a raffle while also looking out over the entire city skyline and its historic national monuments. It is certain that Illuminate DC would not have been possible without the help of the Graham Georgetown who donated the venue space as well as the tremendous support of top sponsor Energy Focus. The company’s Advisory Board Member Chuck Connor addressed the crowd to explain more about their partnership with Autism Speaks and the importance of the cause. Other key sponsors for the event included 270 Strategies, DCI Group, The O Team, Garchik Family Foundation, APJL Consulting and Chesapeake Bay Ventures.
