In the spirit of freedom of expression and self-acceptance, Converse and Autism Speaks are teaming up to support the growth of budding musicians with autism. Next Monday, Timeflies, a popular new musical duo, and singer-song writer Adrienne Bailon, are joining forces for a jam session with emerging artist Rio "Soulshocka" Wyles at the Converse Rubber Tracks studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Rio, a rapper who was diagnosed with autism at a young age, recently thrilled the audience at the Light Up the Blues benefit concert for Autism Speaks at the Club Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. Converse Rubber Tracks supports artistic expression by providing musicians across all genres an opportunity to record for free and retain all the rights to their music. Our friends at Converse graciously donated Monday's studio time to recognize the talents of musicians in the autism community. Timeflies and Adrienne Bailon will be there to offer guidance, live beats and additional vocals. Stay tuned for more updates!
