Autism Speaks Hosts Florida 'Sounding the Alarm' Screening

More than 60 people attended a screening of  the documentary 'Sounding the Alarm' hosted by Autism Speaks today at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla.  The film, directed by John Block, examines the lives of 12 famlies affected by autism and chronicles the challenges and opportunities they face from diagnosis to adulthood. 

Congressman Ted Deutch (D-Florida), addressed the crowd and the screening was followed by a Q&A with a panel featuring Dr. Ali Cunningham of FAU/Card; John D'Eri of Rising Tide Car Wash; Alonso Velazques, adult with autism; Randi Solomon, autism advocate.
