"Answers for AutismSurvey"

The New Jersey Governor's Council on Autism and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have commissioned a survey of persons afflicted with autism to establish the prevalence and monitor trends of autism spectrum disorders in New Jersey, specify the biomedical characteristics of autism, and describe the course of autism over time and in response to treatment. The Answers for Autism Survey is a voluntary survey of New Jersey's autistic population. The critical information you can provide will be used to better understand, treat, and prevent autism spectrum disorders. Your data will also inform policymakers and professionals on the true prevalence of autism and it's impact on New Jersey families, helping to secure appropriate funding and resources for support and treatment. Eligibility is as follows:

  • The child or subject should be diagnosed with any of the following disorders on the Autism Spectrum: autism, Asperger Syndrome, PDD or PDD-NOS, Fragile X Syndrome, Rett Syndrome, Childhood Disintegrative Disorder, Landau-Kleffner Syndrome, and/or autistic tendencies or symptoms

  • The person with autism MUST be a New Jersey resident, but does not need to live in the state of New Jersey
