(September 28, 2014) – Newsday highlighted the accomplishments of Fox Sports director and Autism Speaks board member Artie Kempner. Thanks to Kempner’s efforts, for the third straight year Dover International Speedway hosted their “Autism Speaks Day at The Races” event for our autism community to enjoy. This wouldn’t have been possible without Kempner along with the help of countless others, s including Dover’s Director of Communications Gary Camp.
Kempner, whose 19-year-old son Ethan is on the autism spectrum, told Newsday, “Ethan has been the blessing for us. As much as autism is a challenge, Ethan has put the perspective in my life, in our lives. My other boys [Jack and Matt] have grown up with an empathy and a perspective that I didn’t have until my 30s.”
