On the evening of September 17th, 2013, Autism Speaks was a beneficiary and joined two other recognized charities in AMC Theatre’s 2013 Reception and Grant Ceremony. 2013 marks the 21st year in the AMC Cares Charitable Fund that aids in disaster relief efforts, supports national and local charitable organizations, and provides scholarships for AMC associates and their dependents. Autism Speaks was awarded $50,000 at The National Clubhouse in Kansas City, MO. Guests were able to partake in libations and enjoyed small plated appetizers with the evening commencing in a grant ceremony awarded by AMC. In total for 2013, AMC Cares donated over $255,000 to 20 charities in a variety of causes and Autism Speaks graciously thanks AMC Theaters for their leadership in recognizing each of these charitable organizations and for being a corporate voice for autism with a partnership with Autism Speaks.
