Over 2,000 participants celebrated at the Richmond Walk Now for Autism Speaks at the Richmond International Raceway on September 19th. Not only was the weather perfect with sunny skies but also a tremendous amount of both awareness and funds were raised with over $110,000 and counting raised to date.
The event feature Walk Master of Ceremonies, Nikki-Dee Ray from CBS 6, special performances by the Diggity Dudes and MAC Zumba. Sponsors, including the Hughes Center, Dominion Equipment Parts, Blue Ridge Jail Authority, Dominion Equipment Parts, Shoe City, Pitt Ohio, Grafton Integrated Health Network, and others contributed to the day’s success. The morning also featured a guest appearance by Nutzy the Flying Squirrel, and food donated by Martin’s, Whole Foods, Relay Foods, and UTZ.
