(October 11, 2014) -- More than 1,500 attendees braved the rain, wind and cold at the NJ Shore Walk Now for Autism Speaks and 5K at the Long Branch Boardwalk. We had an amazing event in spite of the weather, featuring Matt Ryan from 94.3 The Point and special guest, Congressman Frank Pallone. Families enjoyed activities including the Home Depot Kids Workshop, game trucks and fun bus, and mingled with autism service providers at the Community Resource Fair.
To date, the event raised more than $210,000 in support of Autism Speaks’ mission to fund research, increase awareness and family services and advocate for individuals with autism and their families. Our goal at the NJ Shore this year is to raise $331,000. All donations can be mailed to Autism Speaks – NJ Shore, 1060 State Road, Princeton, NJ 08540.
