Advertising "Roadblock" Brings Most Visitors to Autism Speaks in New Site's History

A donation of ad space on the web site helped drive to its best trafficked day ever on April 14. As part of a partnership with the Ad Council, MSNBC donates rotational ad space on the homepage. In honor of Autism Awareness month, MSNBC selected the

Autism Speaks PSA campaign for an exclusive roadblock that featured only the campaign banner "Pop Singer" on the homepage for the entire day that Friday. As a result, the Autism Speaks web site had more visitors than ever and one of its top three biggest one-day jumps in visitors and in page views since its relaunch last fall. Web traffic for the week was also at an all-time high.
