Sensory Friendly Indoor Halloween Event

October 24, 2019 at 6:30 pm

PediaPlex

Southlake, TX 76092

PediaPlex will open its doors for a free community Halloween party to support families and children with autism and special needs.

The bright lights and noises, outdoor experiences, social interaction, and cute costumes of Halloween are fun for most children. But for kids with autism and other development delays this can cause extreme discomfort and be downright painful.

A safe and fun Halloween for families whose children have special needs is a priority for PediaPlex, a Southlake child development and pediatric therapy center. On Thursday, October 24, 2019 the staff will sponsor a free Halloween event, open to the public, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The clinic’s speech, occupational and ABA therapists will be dressed in costumes while families trick-or-treat through the not-so-spooky offices.

Our Autism Response Team (ART) is specially trained to connect people with autism, their families, and caretakers to information, tools, and resources.
