On Sunday, March 31st from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM join us for a sensory-friendly experience in our exhibit galleries.

We will have dimmed lights and audio, a nearby quiet room for anyone feeling overwhelmed, instructional signage, and museum support staff available. We will also have optional hands-on experiences in our galleries for multi-modal learners and our Virginia Voices documentary playing in our Robins Family Forum. Noise reducing headphones, fidget toys, and sunglasses are available for checkout at the Museum Shop desk.

Activities:
From 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Designated quiet areas (in classroom and in the galleries upstairs)
Add to the Fresh Paint Mural and puzzles available
From 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Independent Crafts in Bluford Classroom (12:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
Hands-on Stations in the Story of Virginia (with replica artifacts for guests to touch)
