Jennifer joined the Cotting Consulting team at the Cotting School, in Lexington, Massachusetts, in May 2012. As part of this program Jennifer goes out to schools to teach strategies and best practices for technology integration and implementation, increasing staff comfort with higher-tech options. She provides staff education and therapeutic interventions.
Previously, she worked as a Clinical Supervisor at Spaulding Outpatient Center for Children at the Lurie Center, previously known as LADDERS, for six and one half years. Within her role there, Jennifer headed up and developed the Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC) Clinic which also serviced children who required Academic Aides to maximize their learning outcomes Jennifer is a Speech-Language Pathologist who spent the first ten years of her career working with adults with neurogenic, voice and swallowing disorders. She has been working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, for the last 14 years. During the past two years, she has additionally been working with adults with developmental disabilities, specifically Autism Spectrum Disorders. Jennifer for a long time has been tremendously invested in making language visual for individuals and in encouraging families and staff to do the same, to increase communication successes for the children with whom she has worked.
