The 9th annual North Bay Walk Now for Autism Speaks occurred Saturday, April 12th at Sonoma Mountain Village in Rohnert Park. The morning was blanketed in a light fog; however the walk was full of happy faces and fun activities! We had just over 1,500 attendees. To date, we have raised $70,000 but we won't stop till we get to our goal of $115,000 or above!
Our Walk Co-Chairs Carrie Belcher and Angel Greber, along with their committee members, really set this Walk apart from previous years with an HUGE raffle, food trucks and lots of entertainment! The walk was visited by our National Sponsor Toys "R" Us' mascot, Geoffrey the Giraffe, who took a stroll with our walkers and posed for photos. The walk energy was absolutely amazing! The Event Manger Heather Jackson is so appreciative of the support and dedication of this committee and our volunteers. Extra special thanks to the American Red Cross, 501st Battalion, UCPNB, Anova, Adobe Associates, Ken May’s Plumbing, Ronnie Echavarria, Claim Remidi, Empire College, BNI, R & D Security and Janina Meyer Photography.
