More than 600 attendees participated in the Cumberland Tri State Walk Now For Autism Speaks on Saturday, April 12th at the Allegany College of Maryland. Geoffrey the Giraffe from Toys "R" Us joined us along with local radio station Country 105.3/105.7 WFRB. The day included activities for children like a bounce house, face painting and health check ups provided by the local Allegany College of Maryland nursing students and faculty.
To date, the event raised more than $43,000 in support of Autism Speaks’ mission to fund research, increase awareness and family services and advocate for individuals with autism and their families.
It was a wonderful and sunny day for the Walk as we welcomed several new teams and welcomed back some old faces as well. What a great day!
