More than 8,000 walkers joined together on the National Mall Saturday, November 2nd for the 13th Annual Washington, DC Walk Now for Autism Speaks.  To date, the event has raised more than $650,000 and counting in support of Autism Speaks’ mission to fund research, increase awareness and family services and advocate for individuals with autism and their families.

Thank you and congratulations to our honorary walk co-chairs Margie Halem and Dave Zier as well as our planning committee co-chairs Nora Fitzpatrick and Wendy Morris for their leadership, inspiration and energy!

A huge thanks to Ed Henry of Fox News, Topper Shutt of WUSA9, Diamond Boy Luis of El Zol 107.9, Rocky Parrish of Rock Deep Media, and DanzaTone for entertaining us all morning as well as our many corporate and in kind sponsors who made this walk possible:

The Garchik Family, Lindsay Automotive Group, Shoe City, Convergent Wealth Advisors,  Collaborative Solutions, The Bernstein Companies, National Children’s Center, The Morris Family, Senate Asphalt, Seaton Benkowski & Partners, Geico, Abramson Family Foundation,  The Meltzer Group , Aerosoles, Uno Chicago Grill, Drink More Water and The Java Cruiser.
