Saturday, October 13th the St. Louis Autism Community celebrated the 10th Anniversary St. Louis Walk Now for Autism Speaks and 5K Run Before the Walk held in Forest Park.  For the 10th year in a row the weather cooperated and it was a perfect day for a walk in the park.  More than 20,000 walk participants and 300 runners came out to celebrate the day, which included food, music, Sponsor booths, VIP experiences and a fabulous Resource Fair where families gathered information form more than 40 Service Providers.

Walk Chair Amy Blumenfeld shared the stage with KPLR 11’s Melanie Moon, Big Mike from Z107.7 and the band Hellen Back who all did a superb job of keeping the crowd entertained!  Author David Finch also took the stage and discussed his book, “Journal of Best Practices: A Memoir of Marriage, Asperger Syndrome, and One Man's Quest to Be a Better Husband

Our heartfelt thanks goes out to our Corporate Sponsors who donated funds toward Autism Speaks mission and even formed teams and came out and enjoyed the day with us.  The 2012 sponsors include, SL Chapman, Hager Companies, Centene Corporation, Caleb C. and Julia W.
