The chilly, rainy day didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits at the 13th annual Central NJ Walk Now for Autism Speaks on Sunday, October 7th at Mercer County Community College in West Windsor. 2,000 participants walked together with their umbrellas and rain boots raising $206,000 to support the mission of Autism Speaks!
Families enjoyed children’s activities including a rock wall, moon bounce and face painting while parents visited the Autism Community Resource Fair and Autism Votes booth. DJ Brett Gash emceed the event, while walkers, Geoffrey the Giraffe and the GEICO gecko danced in the rain!
A very special thank you to the Central NJ Walk Chair, Emily Josephson and the Central NJ Walk Committee for all your planning and teamwork!
Thank you to our national Walk sponsors Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us and our local Central NJ Walk sponsors Ali’s World, GEICO Local Office, Windsor Radiology and local media sponsor, Packet Media Group.
