The 7th annual NJ Shore Walk Now for Autism Speaks took place on Saturday, September 29th on the Great Lawn in Long Branch. 4,000 participants walked the boardwalk together raising $300,000 to support the mission of Autism Speaks.
Families enjoyed children’s activities including a fun bus, arts and crafts, moon bounce and game truck while parents visited the Autism Community Resource Fair and Autism Votes booth. At the Walk start, everyone was surprised to see the airplane in the sky carrying a banner that read “NJ Shore Walk Now for Autism Speaks Today! 1 in 88 Can’t Wait.”
Before the Walk, 250 participants raced in the 3rd annual NJ Shore 5K Run Now for Autism Speaks. The 5K Run continues to grow each year, raising more autism awareness in the local communities.
