Even an unseasonable winter weather advisory couldn't keep two thousand hardy folks from turning out in force to celebrate the seventh annual Baltimore Walk Now for Autism Speaks on October 29, 2011 at M & T Bank Stadium! Over $33,000 in donations were dropped off at the Walk; this, added to online donations to date and pledges, means as of Walk day, Baltimore has raised $246,000 for autism research!
Check out this great mini-video which captures the mood!
Many thanks also go to those of you who couldn't make it but walked with us in spirit. In light of the unseasonable weather, we are planning to mail out commemorative Walk day tshirts to any walkers who raised $150 or more and were not able to attend. Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your full contact info and we will get them out--and we will count donations towards your team totals through December, so you can catch up if need be!
Many thanks to our sponsors, resource fair exhibitors, and our incredible volunteers who braved the pre-dawn hours and the elements to make a wonderful day for all, despite all odds.
