On Saturday, October 29th over 200 walkers came together despite a Nor’easter that dumped 10+ inches of snow in the community to join us for the 4th Annual Sullivan County and Neighboring Communities Walk Now for Autism Speaks at Sullivan County Community College.
Walkers enjoyed plenty of family-friendly entertainment including face painting, tattoos, bounce houses and a performance by the Sullivan County Community College cheerleaders. The Walk also featured a Community Resource Fair with local service providers and other autism-related organizations as well as an Autism Speaks Information area.
We want to thank our sponsors Toys”R”Us & Babies”R”Us as well as our local sponsors SullivanArc, JeffBank, Crystal Run Village, Trustco Bank and Crystal Run Healthcare. A very special thank you to our wonderful committee led by Kimberly Tuckey and all of the walk day volunteers and participants that supported Autism Speaks and came out to support our families and friends that live with autism every day. This year’s Sullivan County and Neighboring Communities Walk has raised over $22,000 dollars and counting!
