It felt like summer at the 11th Annual Central NJ Walk Now for Autism Speaks on Sunday, October 9 at Mercer County Community College in West Windsor. 3,000 people came out to show their support of the local autism community. Together, we have raised $211,000 to date with donations still coming in to help us reach our goal of $254,000!
Walkers enjoyed plenty of family-friendly entertainment including performances by Montgomery High School and Hopewell Valley High School cheerleaders, Step by Step dancers, a rock wall and moon bounce, Magic Mike, The Circus Place, Boo Boos the Clown, Schafer Gymnastics, Home Depot Kids Workshop, and more. The Walk also featured a Community Resource Fair and Autism Speaks Information tent.
A big shout out to the Central NJ Walk Planning Committee, chaired by Patty & Greg Gillette. You all dedicated so much of your time to make this event a very special day.
To our teams, walkers, donors, and volunteers... the Walk is a day full of camaraderie and hope for the autism community and we thank you for being a part of it!
