A very cold and rainy morning did not dampen the spirits of the Central New York Walk participants!
About 600 walkers braved the elements to participate in the third annual Central New York Walk Now for Autism Speaks event at Long Branch Park in Liverpool on Sunday, October 3. Huge thanks to Tim Hortons for providing coffee and treats, WOLF 105.1 and Radio Disney for entertaining the crowd and Matt Mulcahy from NBC for serving as master of ceremonies. The Colgate University Women’s Ice Hockey Team, raising over $10,000 cut the ribbon along with mascot Raider and their friend, Christian Mast. Autism Speaks would like to thank the wonderful Walk committee members Pam Glatter, Gabrielle Henry, Lisa King, Rob Punch, Samantha Punch, Kim Schlie, Amanda Susko, Kelly VanSanford, Scott Wiley and Walk Chairperson, Erin Mast for their commitment and dedication to our urgent mission. The event has raised almost $40,000 and counting!
