The 8th annual Southern New England Walk Now for Autism Speaks on Saturday, October 2, was celebrated with over 2,500 participants.
United together for one cause - team captains, walkers, sponsors, resource vendors and donors helped us raise over $111,000 (and still counting)! The Walk was held at Colt State Park in Bristol RI. The scenery with the great weather made for a picture perfect day!
Cat County’s Amanda Leonardo producer of the morning shows MC’ed the Day. We also had Jake the mascot from Cat Country and the Providence Bruins mascot and as always Geoffery. All of the walkers enjoyed snacks from Bachman Pretzels and Walgreens, beverages from Pepsi, as well as coffee and delicious hot chocolate from Will Avery.
There were plenty of activities to participate in as well as great music and a supportive emcee from Cat Country. THANK YOU to the Walk committee who helped make the Walk a great success!
