Team Up! with Autism Speaks runs the 2015 Berlin Marathon

Today, Berlin hosted the always historic and fast marathon in the world for the 42nd run of the BMW 2015 Berlin Marathon. Within the crowd there was a dedicated Team Up! with Autism Speaks team of 13 runners specifically running and raising money to support the mission of Autism Speaks, with a fundraising total to date of over $40,000 and still growing.

The fundraising and training started 6 months before but on race week, the runners travelled to Germany to meet up their team mates and run the race of a lifetime; for a fantastic reason: to support Autism Speaks’ mission. Today, the runners shared their excitement to finally wear the team gear to the Start Line. Sunday was a day full of fast miles, smiles, medals, accomplishments, brats and German beers and cheers!

We want to congratulate each one of our runners for their impressive feats, on the Berlin Marathon course as well as in their fundraising, going above and beyond on both levels! We want to give special thanks to our runners’ families and friends for their support throughout the training cycle, cheering on the streets, and supporting their runners’ fundraising. Congratulations Runners!
