Jacksonville Walk Now for Autism Speaks kick off a success

We had such an inspirational night at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront on June 30th as we celebrated our 2014 Walk and kicked-off the 2015 Jacksonville Walk Season!

Families, teams, sponsors, service providers and teachers joined in to hear all about the 2015 Walk and how they can help raises awareness and critically needed funds for autism research and family services.

The main attraction of the evening was our guest speaker, Nicole Jorwic, an Autism Speaks Policy Consultant for Housing and Community Living, who enlightened the audience with all of the great strides being made in Florida for Housing and Employment and helped parents think about their children as they approach their adult lives. It was educational and informational for all!

The 2015 Jacksonville Walk Now for Autism Speaks will take place on Saturday, September 19th at the Jacksonville Landing.

The Autism Speaks blog features opinions from people throughout the autism community. Each blog represents the point of view of the author and does not necessarily reflect Autism Speaks' beliefs or point of view.
