The Southern New Jersey Walk Now for Autism Speaks Chapter kicked off their 2015 Walk Season at the Ramblewood Country Club.
About 100 guests including team captains and their families met with representatives from Dentistry for Special People, First Children Services, and Rowan University, as well as the amazing Southern New Jersey committee including Bill Wills, Debbie Schmidt, Carlisa Brown, Jose Suarez, and Bobby Kreifels.
Southern New Jersey walk founders, Debbie and Todd Schmidt, gave an inspiring speech about not only the community growth but Autism Speaks progress throughout the years. John Woodruff Director, Academic Success Center & Disability Resources at Rowan University, gave great insights into how our fundraising dollars are making a huge difference in the lives of young adults with autism who are continuing their education and living out their dreams!
One small boy, David, met his future dentist who came with rave reviews from another young walker.
Autism Speaks – Southern New Jersey would like to thank everyone who came out to support our Walk Now for Autism Speaks Kick Off. It was a great night and we are looking forward to great Walk Day in Bishop’s Gate this May!
