The kickoff event for Miami's 2015 Walk Now for Autism Speaks took place on Thursday, January 29, 2015. The kickoff was a free informative dinner for those interested in learning about Autism Speaks and participating in its signature fundraising event.
All members of the community were invited to attend to learn how they can spread awareness about the increasing prevalence of autism and raise much needed funds for Autism Speaks’ research, advocacy and family services programs. Participants received Walk materials, shared team building and fundraising ideas and met with committee members.
This year’s Miami Walk Now for Autism Speaks event will take place on Sunday, April 19, 2015. The Miami Walk events bring together over 28,000 individuals with autism, their families, friends and supporters annually across Miami-Dade County.
