All of this comprises the Ragnar Relay Florida Keys. On the surface at least. Except it is so much more than this.

A year ago, I had not even heard of Ragnar. Last April, I got an email out of the blue from Lara Collazo who coordinates various running and athletic events for Team Up with Autism Speaks. (I had run the NYC marathon twice previously with Team Up.) She was looking to put together a team of 12 runners to run the 197-mile relay race, while simultaneously fundraising and raising awareness for autism. She asked if I would be interested in joining the team and my immediate thought was, “Hell yeah!”
