The Bently Reserve Banking Hall is the epitome of the stately grandeur and timeless elegance of the banking temple tradition; it is one that hearkens back to Rome, but is also a part of San Francisco’s rich and colorful history. Originally part of the 1924 Federal Reserve, the Banking Hall is now a prestigious and versatile event space.

Guests entering from the Sansome Street Lobby will experience the full splendor of a banking temple as the hall opens up to 25-foot tall Doric columns that flank the room and emphasize its awe-inspiring height. Hand painted travertine walls echo the genuine Italian marble floor tiles. Two dazzling chandeliers, personally designed by the architect himself and hung from an intricate plaster ceiling, have been meticulously reconditioned to their original splendor; modern recess lighting has been subtly added to increase this dramatic effect. The Banking Halls large doors are solid bronze, and accentuate the bronze and marble imperial staircase that gracefully rises from the floor. This grand staircase leads to an open mezzanine and breathtaking balcony, which provide a rare and invigorating location for cocktail receptions or even for the staging of a dramatic entrance. The Banking Hall is as versatile as it is beautiful: it has been known to host some of San Francisco’s most groundbreaking gatherings, as well as its most innovative conferences.
