After years of advocacy, coverage for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is now available for children with autism in Texas who rely on Medicaid for healthcare coverage.

Earlier this year, the state Medicaid program launched Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy as a covered service for enrolled-children under age 21 and diagnosed with autism. While the roll-out of this ABA benefit is a giant step forward, the current challenge is making sure this benefit is accessible and used by eligible Texans.
