Hackathon

Dozens of developers, designers and digital innovators came together at the Hacking Autism Twilio Hackathon in San Francisco. The 24-hour event kicked off saturday morning. A prize pack courtesy of Twilio and Leap Motion will be given to the teams that develop the best applications. And Twilio will donate $1,000 to Autism Speaks in the name of the winning team.

 

 

We teamed up with AT&T to crowdsource the most empowering and helpful app ideas from the people who know autism best: you, the autism community. With the votes counted and 12 winning app ideas selected, we’re now challenging developers to turn those apps into a reality at a Hacking Autism Hackathon during Autism Awareness Month.

During the past month and a half, we have been working with AT&T to crowdsource the most empowering and helpful app ideas for the autism community.  More than 230 community members submitted their ideas through the Autism Speaks Facebook page.  After nearly 1,200 votes, a total of 12 winners were selected, three in each of four categories: verbal, non-verbal, school-aged and adult.  Today, we're excited to announce our winners, each of which are receiving a waterproof Pantech Element tablet from AT&T while the ide
