Autism Speaks

On Saturday, March 24, 2012, over 160 guests gathered in Atherton, Calif. outside of San Francisco for an exciting new fundraising event for Autism Speaks. Facing Autism Presents Acts of Love benefitting Autism Speaks raised nearly half a million dollars for autism research and advocacy. Acts of Love is a WordTheatre® Production created and directed by Cedering Fox.

Please join us! Amy is a certified college coach for individuals with Asperger's Syndrome, and the founder of A.S.C.O.T (Asperger's Syndrome Coaching and Other Techniques) Coaching, LLC. She is also a seasoned public speaker, and has spoken at conferences, professional development workshops, support group meetings, and more since the age of 14.

In this episode, I feature a “Light It Up Blue” presentation I gave in one of my classes at Seton Hall University. In the presentation I discuss when I first felt comfortable about coming out about my autism, World Autism Awareness Day, and how college students can light it up blue on April 2nd. Autism Speaks U, an initiative for college students through Autism Speaks is also highlighted in the video.
