About 'I Want To Say'

We very much appreciate and greatly value the various perspectives shared through the flash blog and throughout the process of making the film, ‘I Want to Say.’ We are particularly grateful to the individuals on the spectrum, including those within Autism Speaks and those who were integral in the creation of the documentary, who not only help to shape our views, but who serve as our True North in everything that we do here at Autism Speaks.

Congratulations to our Hacking Autism App Contest Winners

During the past month and a half, we have been working with AT&T to crowdsource the most empowering and helpful app ideas for the autism community.  More than 230 community members submitted their ideas through the Autism Speaks Facebook page.  After nearly 1,200 votes, a total of 12 winners were selected, three in each of four categories: verbal, non-verbal, school-aged and adult.  Today, we're excited to announce our winners, each of which are receiving a waterproof Pantech Element tablet from AT&T while the ide

Go Go Games Studios Brings Gaming to ABA Therapy

This blog post was written by Alexis Hiniker, a co-founder of Go Go Games Studios. Go Go Games Studios was created by Joy Wong Daniels, Alexis Hiniker, and Heidi Williamson, who met as graduate students in Stanford University’s Learning, Design and Technology program. Daniels is an interaction designer, Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (d.school) alum, and former marketing director at The Children’s Creativity Museum in San Francisco.
