Awareness

The Nashville celebrity and arts community has joined together to support Autism Speaks, Tennessee Communities, by designing original artwork made from puzzle pieces that will be auctioned at the first annual Master Pieces for Autism Speaks benefit on December 1, 2012 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Nashville City Center in downtown Nashville.

Justin Palmer is the director of online awareness for Sevenly.org.

On behalf of Sevenly, we're excited to bring you big news! Back in July of this year, Autism Speaks ran a campaign with Sevenly.org featuring the "Live Loud" products. The response was overwhelming, and we raised over $200,000 for communication therapy in only 7 days!

In this episode of NBC's Parenthood, the Bravermans face two high stress events. The first being Kristina's surgery for breast cancer, which has shaken the entire Braverman clan to their cores. Max is also running for student body president and he is to give a speech on the same day. Ordinarily, this would be an exciting time for any family, but when the child in question has Asperger's, is new to the school, and has few friends, it can be a time of high family stress.

It's that spooky time of year again when the ghouls and goblins come out of hiding! We love seeing the creativity of the community during holiday seasons, especially Halloween! We'd love to see photos of you and/or your loved ones on the autism spectrum decked out in Halloween attire!

Send photos of some of your favorite costume photos to photos@autismspeaks.org with 'Halloween' in the subject line.
