The Home Depot® partnered with Autism Speaks for the third straight year in 2013 to shine a light on autism during Autism Awareness Month in April and World Autism Awareness Day on April 2. The Home Depot® sold blue incandescent light bulbs offering people across the country the opportunity to raise autism awareness through Autism Speaks' Light It Up Blue initiative. The specially marked Light It Up Blue bulbs were available throughout all of their stores in the United States and Canada from March 1st through through April 30th. A portion of each sale went to Autism Speaks. The campaign raised more than $170,000 this year and accumatively Home Depot® has donated nearly $915,000 to autism research. Thanks Home Depot®!
