6th Annual Western New England Walk Now for Autism Raises over $140,000
On Saturday, September 13, 2,500 people participated in the 6th Annual Western New England Walk Now for Autism at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass. The walkers, on more than 140 teams, raised over $140,000.
During the opening ceremonies, walkers were thanked for their participation by Autism Speaks' National Walk Director Susan Gloor, State Representative Don Humason (R-MA) and State Senator Michael Knapik. Miss

Petite New England, Kimberlee Supernaw, was on hand to greet the walkers. Walkers enjoyed classic and contemporary rock performances by local bands.
The resource fair showcased four organizations and companies, including Pioneer Valley Therapeutic Riding Association, a non profit organization that teaches therapeutic horseback riding to people with disabilities.
Special thanks to Subway, which provided sandwiches for the walkers, J. Polep which donated snacks and Coca-Cola and Baystate Medical Center, which donated a combined 3,500 bottles of water.
