Vermont Walk Now for Autism Returns for Second Year to Raise $35,000
The Vermont Walk Now for Autism returned to Battery Park in Burlington, Vt., on Saturday, June 14, as 250 walkers on more than 20 teams raised over $35,000.
Children enjoyed visits from Toys”R”Us' Geoffrey the Giraffe, Joey the Clown, who made balloon animals and brought bounce houses, and a face painter. Walkers also enjoyed music from local radio station Star 92.9, which donated advertising time leading up to the Walk.
Generous sponsors including Hint Water, Coca-Cola, Pizza Hut and Rocky's contributed food and refreshments. Many thanks to Walk Chair Jill St. Thomas-Benoit for making the 2nd annual Vermont Walk Now for Autismso successful.
