New Jersey Shore Walk Attracts 4,500 Participants, Raises Over $340,000
The second annual New Jersey Shore Walk Now for Autism took place on Sunday, September 30, as 4,500 walkers turned out to walk along the board walk at Point Pleasant Beach. The event raised over $340,000, $120,000 more than last year's inaugural walk. Co-chairs Janice McGreevy and Sheila Doerr led the program, followed by a moving singing performance by 16-year-old Kayla Caffrey, who performed a song she wrote about her younger sister with autism. The US Army led the warm-up exercises followed by the countdown to the walk.

Visit the New Jersey Shore walk page or go to the Walk Now for Autism site to find a walk in your area.
