anthem as she sang while the Nellis Air Force Base 99th Air Base Wing's Honor Guard presented colors. Jenny McCarthy then addressed the crowd and stayed to talk with dozens of families, sharing her experiences, her book and hope for the future. The First Lady of Nevada, Dawn Gibbons, joined in opening ceremonies and then walked with various teams.

More than 35 resource fair vendors came out, despite the muddy field and each brought a fun activity for the kids creating a wonderful festival enjoyed before and after the walk. Jackpot Inflatables donated bounce houses, while Trader Joes and Deluca Distributors provided water for the walkers. The Henderson Police Department and Nevada State Highway Patrol supported their fellow officers living with autism by bringing their police cars out to entertain and educate the children.
