20 School Teams Participate in Central New Jersey Walk Now for Autism





More than 3,500 people joined the 9th annual Central New Jersey Walk Now for Autism at Mercer County Community College in West Windsor, N.J on Sunday, Oct. 19. Walkers on over 130 teams, including 17 school teams, three college teams and four community teams, raised $200,000. Top Walk teams included Rutgers University, Rider University and Steinert High School. Special thanks to Walk Co-Chairs Patty and Greg Gillette, who have been instrumental in bringing the concept of Community Walk Teams to the region by reaching out to the local schools and beyond.

Families enjoyed a variety of great entertainment provided by The Philadelphia Zoo, The Wacky Gym, Home Depot's Kids Workshop, Bubble Wrap Run from Sealed Air, DJ Paulie, The Dance Troop, Geoffrey from Toys”R”Us, Magic Mike, Moon Bounce, Star Wars 501st Legion, NJ 101.5, Oogles-n-Googles Crafts, Boo Boos the Clown, Boomer of the Trenton Thunder and Rock Wall. The Walk also hosted a resource fair, which featured eight participating companies and organizations.
