9:30 a.m. New York Stock Exchange Opening Bell
Autism Speaks co-founders Suzanne and Bob Wright, along with Autism Speaks staff members, volunteers and supporters will attend the ringing of the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Click here for coverage of the opening bell ceremony including photos and videos.

2:00-2:30 p.m. Autism Speaks Puzzle Piece Card Stunt
Autism Speaks hosted a card stunt revealing the Autism Speaks puzzle piece in commemoration of the World Autism Awareness Day at Ralph Bunche Park (1st Avenue, between 42nd and 43rd streets). The Ringmaster of Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus, along with performers from the circus, were on hand to introduce the card stunt, and Autism Speaks co-founders Suzanne and Bob Wright addressed the crowd. 3:00-5:30 p.m. United Nations Panel
The Government of the State of Qatar, in collaboration with the World Health Organization and Autism Speaks, will host a panel discussion on the Global Awareness of Autism: Challenges, Responsibilities and Actions. The event will feature remarks from lawmakers, experts, and families touched by autism as well as a panel discussion about the roles of the international community, non-governmental organizations, media and family in raising autism awareness. 6:00-7:00 p.m. UN Art Exhibit: “Don't ‘dis' the ability” – Artworks by Individuals on the Autism Spectrum
Artworks from various autistic and world renowned autistic savant individuals from around the world will be featured at the United Nations from March 29 – April 4, 2008 to showcase the general theme of “raising awareness and changing attitudes” regarding autism spectrum disorders (ASD). This opening reception (by invitation only) will feature a musical performance from the Magical Music for Life Foundation, a group that is inclusive of children with autism, singing "There's a Light," a song that encompasses the spirit of World Autism Awareness Day. Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus present a special performance at Madison Square Garden, New York City. Autism Speaks President Mark Roithmayr served as Ring Master for the evening, making introductions, announcing World Autism Awareness Day and starting off the show.
